Hey champs! I’ve got a small story to tell regarding Timothy. Back around his birthday in March, it was discovered that he had masses in his liver that were likely cancerous. He has insurance, which had agreed to pay 70% of the bill. He had his surgery May 10th, and is recovering very well. The insurance company, as you can probably deduce from me posting this, is denying the claim on bullshit “pre-existing condition” grounds despite having reimbursed for all of the appointments and treatments up to and related to it. This is the GoFundMe link for Timothy’s surgery bills. I’ve put the word out on Tiktok and Facebook about it, and figured I’d say something here.

That happened to Pongo about a month ago on a hike, probably slipped on some rocks and pulled a muscle. Gave him a couple days of no activity and a week of light activity after that. I’m just very glad he was still able to walk alright, because getting 95lbs of dog out of a canyon over a mile back to the car would have been rough.

I wanted to make sure you all got an update on this:  Timothy has fully recovered from his surgery, and he is cancer-free! The insurance company accepted the challenge that my ex submitted, and they have indeed paid their agreed percentage. Instead of a 10.5k bill, it is now 3k. We received quite a bit of donations, totalling roughly a thousand. Definitely feel the love for this little guy. He’s gonna be around for a bit longer. I love him.  Zipper is also doing great!
