I just had to let my dog go on Wednesday due to dick cancer. It still depresses, me because I got to play with him, happy and painless, knowing that without daily (painful) catheters he would die from either a burst bladder or kidney. poo poo, based on the picture I can't estimate the length of his amazing life with your family will last, but I know that our canine shepherds are the greatest part of what makes us human.

I got home and for the first time in over a year, my dog didn't greet me. I looked around the house, checked if she was outside and couldn't find her until I heard a noise from the guest bedroom. She wasn't stuck in a closet or hiding under the bed, so I checked the 4' tall rolled up piece of the Astrodome by the bed. Sorry for the picture quality, it was dark and the flash somehow made things look worse.

I went to check out a dog that was up for adoption and had been in various systems for the past 5 months and planned on deciding later if I would keep him. Welp, that plan went out the window. Meet by new buddy, Buddy.  Edit: Here's his intake photo when he was picked up.

When I went into the back room to feed my dogs, I found what looked to be a dead piece of a weed on the floor. I picked it up to throw away and found out it was the top 4 inches of a snake and I am pretty sure that she killed it (last week she must have developed a taste when she are a bunch of shed skin). Now she's asleep; must be really tiring to kill a lesser predator.
