So a month and a bit ago I got my nephew a transformer for his birthday. Now i'm more or less caught up with the IDW comics and own 2 MPs with 2 more on the way. Hello thread, please treat me well.

Those are incredibly tempting though, that king J-Der is breathtaking. 90 degrees at elbows and knees, ball joint in the thighs, swivel at the shoulder, a hinge in the upper arm (usually part of the transformation as well) and you can usually pose the feet so they're flush against the ground. Some of them have their posability hampered by their designs though, most obviously Goldion Hammer making GaoGaiGar incredibly front heavy. They are fragile though compared to stuff like Robot Spirits or action figures. Personally I really enjoy the act of putting models together which is why I prefer them. Also you should be aware that none of them can do completely perfect transformations if that kind of thing bothers you.

I don't really collect transformers as a rule but last time i was shopping I went into the toy store on a whim and got POTP Moonracer and now I desperately want to make a full combiner. Also I got in a transformers mood and finished reading the IDW continuity. Pretty good overall.
