you might try finding a copy of the old game Omega and mining that for inspiration. it was a game where you explicitly build and program a robot tank. the language was fairly similar to basic, which may not be suitable for what you’re trying to do. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega_(video_game)
