#1, which is now complete and boring: Build the ultimate computer as of 1999 for video games. I play quake and old dos games on it occasionally, it's fun to have. #2, which I just started because I'm an idiot: Build a Win2K server using an old laptop to host a dedicated Quake 2 (or others?) server. For some reason Win2K is hella loving up. #3, shitpost. What stupid things do you waste boredom time on? I know Jonny has his BBS and somebody is making a Yosvape. I tried that with a UFO investigation thing, but it started with IRL school and I forgot it. Does anybody know a good way to learn a language online that isn't horseshit fad crap? Just to read or write, not the whole cultural experience.

I have this weird socket 7 motherboard (socket 8? Whatever the thing after socket 5 for the pentium pros was) motherboard anybody want it I had no idea what to do with it and it came with an AMD k5 so gently caress me I'm not gonna use that for anything. i also write science fiction short stories that will never see the light of day when i get the urge, but it's been a long time since I've gotten said urge

I can never focus much on software projects, but I love building dumb computers for dumb purposes (then tearing them down for dumber purposes) My job in the Canadian Reserves will literally be that so hey cool. "Radio tower is broken, we've got wire and wooden poles go make a new one"
