also, i don't think i would be good at making wooden boxes since i can't seem to ever cut a perfect 90 degree angle, no matter how much effort i put into it.

The plywood I used was warped to hell, probably a good inch off from the edges to the middle, I just nailed and glued it in such a way that every piece holds every other piece straight.

I can't cut perfect 90 degree angles either, most people can't. What you want to do is get a table saw with a good fence.

box 3 update: is coming along well. broke a saw blade and my drill ran out of battery. bought some more hardware.

box update: my latch came finally, and it turns out I cut the lid on box3 (intended use of this latch) too high up.
gonna put the latch onto box2 , then put the hasp from box2 onto box3.

took off the hasp, cut out the holes needed. started test fitting.

Doesn't take a lot of space

New latch installed.

Took all of my carpentry skills, my table saw, and threw htem out and then built this without measuring, and with only a hand saw and a block plane.

Works really well holding my mbpr13

current idiot spare time project updates:

box1: i bought a lock for this box. I still need to sand the sides, buy and install some handles, then danish oil it, and I'll be done.
box2: Just have to oil it and buy some handles for it.
box3: More sanding and oiling, but the handles, corners, and feet are ready. It's a lot heavier than the other boxes (it's also double layered and much larger), and I don't know what I'm going to do with it. The latch is installed too, which is good.

painting1: Done, need to varnish it and then it will be ready.
painting2: canvasses grounded, concept sketched, just have to find the time to do it

it is a cloud-based emulator/rom storage platform for playing "homebrew" content mostly on iOS (although im guessing android works fine w/ it but it can run native emus so why bother) right now it supports gameboy/gameboy color and NES, and cloud state saving on gameboy so you can come back to your pokemon game later. i'll be adding more emulators and improvements over the coming weeks
