Anything that's a weird MSpaint character edit, or just a totally terrible MSpaint character, will always be so imbalanced that they win. It's the best. Fat Albert is my favorite. And there's also Sad Claps. Always bet on Sad Claps. You'll know him when you see him. Why is he so sad? We may never know. The site isn't always this weird Dream Cast Casino, either- this whole system is applied to legit fighting game tournaments, such as EVO, and is a lot of fun then too.

Ishin posted:That counter overpowered Kamehameha was magical. Suck it Bebidi. That trade was the highlight of my night. Babidi pulls a win out of his rear end with a beam super, loses another round, tries to beam for another win and Gohan just answers it with a bigger beam that kills him in one hit. I'm salty as gently caress about that loss though. Back to the mines for me. Also, Wolvenom. You'd think he'd be overpowered, but he's HOT GARBAGE.

Nightmare is a trick. He has a big, scary, flashy intro to make you want to bet on him, and then he does piddling damage and has like 10 HP. Never bet on The Nightmare.

Artiph posted:Ugh, autobalance is really obnoxious. I can't safely bet on characters I think are high-health in an attempt to ease out an upset because I have no idea whether they'll be crippled down to normal levels or not. Did they turn Autobalance back on? It was disabled like two hours after it was initially implemented because it made people do retarded poo poo like have 1:1 odds on a Killer Whale vs DBZ match because people were obsessively voting for the underdog. Did Salty fix it or something?

Artiph posted:I thought it was at first, but I specifically remember some characters having stupid high health and then later when I see them versus characters they're taking normal damage. I guess it's possible that some characters do obscenely high/low damage, but I'm not sure. Characters having obscene natural health or naturally low damage is what you're seeing here. Autobalance does things like make a 1hp character into a 2million hp character when the odds are stacked against them enough. You would know if you were seeing autobalance in action.

Random Stranger posted:Some Dios are really powerful (Ronald is Dio). Grey Fly and Iggy have had several upsets because they're better than the standard Jojos. There is one Jojo (the character, not the group) that can actually use his stand effectively and does well. That good version of Jojo himself is named Jo jo. The space is important. He's good- not godtier or anything, but very solid.

When there were actual themed tourneys or ones made with some thought put into it, it was a fun weekly thing to get in on, but with everything being automated now it's just weird random stuff- which is cool for the stream most of the time, but without that weekly event to get everyone together and excited about some cool matches it's just kind of pointless to have tournaments at all.
