Just based on what I've seen in the stream, anything with superpowers is superseded in SR4. (Including Skyblazing. And Yarngasm is just giant ball mayhem, so see prior.) Also Gangstas in Space introduces an exciting new mechanic! There's Yet Another Stupid Brute, only this time it can loving one-shot you, even on casual, even if you're immune to goddamn everything! And the room it's in is set up pretty much to funnel you at it even if you're like a Saints Row savant or something! (Not even bringing up the checkpoints in the flying mission saving the state of your vehicle AND NOT ITS EFFECTS so you could go from fine to *FOOM* off of like two hits unless you restart like it's Saints Row 1 or some caveman thing. Oh wait.) Are there little DLCs for SR3 that are worth it? You know, I was going to say something about ... anything, but the only ones that seem to make sense are Shark Attack and Funtime! (because of the unique weapons). Not even the Ultor one, because if you're asked about satchel charges, skip the tank; even the base tanks are pretty insane in SR3. Tunahead posted:the sci-fi mad scientist plot that some gigantic goonlord nerd parody narrates is a million times better than the one in Gangstas (although so are most Uwe Boll movies, so take that how you will) Whoa now; let's not say poo poo we can't take back. dont be mean to me fucked around with this message at 09:14 on Aug 16, 2013 |

Your call, I suppose. I admit I did more than my fair share of costume changes during my last playthrough, including parachuting into the penthouse dressed as a Decker specialist (not that false flag is a thing the game even recognizes, but ) On the other hand, the people asking now have the benefit of only using 3 for its story, and not having to deal with sunk costs; it's not going to be relegated to 'just watch the LP' status like Saints Row 1 was (okay the DLC might be) but throwing money at it past a super-discounted Full Package - which solves the DLC problem for you handily - or picking it up on PS+ - where the DLC choices matter - stops being a super idea when 2 is a complete package with at least different and worth-trying degrees of freedom vs 3, if not better ones, and 4 is a thing that will exist in 93 hours. ClownSyndrome posted:Shame they don't give you the laser weapons after the missions to use in the rest of the game, they were kinda fun That was a subtle hint that it was time for the seventh console generation to be over. (Actually, most of the limitations in Saints Row: the Third are, at least in part - THQ and dev time can't be ruled out, but console limitations were still a lot of it.) Saints Row IV, arguably, is delivering that message with a Super Sledge. dont be mean to me fucked around with this message at 11:36 on Aug 16, 2013 |

When are these getting posted oh godserewit posted:Use SteamMover. All that Steam uses to recognize where a game is is the file with its AppID on it in SteamApps and the folder that AppID file points to in SteamApps/Common. Obviously copy rather than move the first time you try it but it's not exactly difficult. Just don't do it while Steam is running. The only thing you have to watch for is when multiple AppID files point to the same folder, which probably isn't the case. Also there's so few games on GCF or NCF anymore that installing Steam to the SSD no longer reaches the threshold of wasteful. The only thing that breaks is adding to Games Explorer, only for games not in the primary Steam library (as in wherever Steam itself is), which was kind of a stepchild in 7 and is very nearly gone in 8. dont be mean to me fucked around with this message at 16:39 on Aug 19, 2013 |
