Eh it still depends on what they're talking about and where their expertise is. A lot of coaches and managers at this point (especially the fired ones, which I suppose is what BIZORT was getting at) are behind the times on the strategic and informational stuff, since most major sports are evolving pretty quickly. Alternately, a lot of them are lovely at communicating their knowledge and just come across as cliche machines.

Smoltz is by far the best of the choices and Smoltz is really horrible.

Well it looks like Girardi might be the actual frontrunner and he's better than all of those guys, but on the other hand we'd lose the comedy of Joe Girardi's matchups book...
