You throw me the acorn, I throw you the whip!
This morning I saw something I'd never seen before. Jefferson Ave in Salem, MA is wide enough for cars to park on either side of the road with a plenty of space to drive along the street. However today I saw someone swerve into the part of the road people park along and immediately hit a parked Cherokee full on the rear bumper at about 35. Right after hitting the Jeep the driver leaned on his horn and got out to yell then realized that it was as parked car with no one inside.

I have no idea if he was drunk, the police didn't arrest them, at least from what I know, I'm not sure where to look to find any more information. After this I think I'm going to at least look into getting a dash cam.

People that rubberneck during high traffic times (all the time) on Rt. 93 through Boston are bad people. I've never seen people slow down for anything halfway reasonable, like when a man decides to change a tire on his van in the center lane just before exit 20 on 93 northbound or an abandoned trailer on an offramp. There's someone pulled over on the other side of the highway? Better slow down. An accident on the other side of the highway with no involvement on this end, sudden traffic! Better slam on my brakes and go have a look.

This may be disrespectful, but funeral processions really have no place on the highway at the very least. Driving on 95 north just past Boston, a procession was taking up the center and right lane and no one seemed to want to pass them above one mile an hour. Also, processions running red lights on busy surface streets with no police escort seems suicidal.

I've never seen someone changing a tire in the middle lane...

I have unfortunately seen this on i93 North, just where it splits off to route 1/1A and Logan on the left. A man with a conversion van was at a dead stop, no triangle, nothing of the sort, in daytime traffic changing a tire in the center lane. Thankfully I was able to avoid him in time, though I did call the state troopers because that sort of behavior is a death wish.
