I'm gonna take my girlfriend to Invicta 8 and want advice on tickets. I know the best advice for good seats at the best value is to book the first row of the middle balcony (if the arena is that big) but I'm kind of enamored by how cheap Invicta actually is compared to UFC and am considering floor seats. Is that worth it at all, or would it be too hard to see the fight from there?

Depends where on the floor and what venue, some of the floor (not ringside) seats offer a good view of the cage. I think lower mezzanine seats are usually the best viewing, though.

That's what I figured. Since tickets aren't available for the show yet, I looked at a different MMA promotion's setup that's playing the same venue later this month and this is their floor plan. I imagine Invicta would feature something similar, but since it's not a traditional mezzanine setup I'm not sure which spot would be best. Any experience with something like this?

I'd rather have a guy that slangs and bangs than see a "technical fighter" like Machida fart around with Phil Davis or Hendo for an extended period of time

The difference is Machida successfully hits his opponent with many of the punches he throws, whereas Leonard Garcia does not.

Nelson connects often enough, too, but this is due to how awful heavyweight is and not indicative of any level of skill. This leads to him being in unexciting fights where someone who is actually a much better fighter easily outpoints him while he makes exhausted pouty faces.

-Is Wanderlei smarter than a flightless parrot? (Status: ANSWERED. A bird pecks at the fence in the blue corner, the song Sandstorm echoing throughout the arena. The red corner remains empty)

All of these are still more interesting topics than the logistics of establishing an MMA Hall of Fame with lovely-enough eligibility standards to induct Fedor.

The problem is I'm pretty sure that bounty comes from Christy Mack, not the state or county. I don't have much of a handle on what porn stars take home so she might be able to pay that out no problem but I'd still feel kind of greasy taking money from a battered woman who's about to have serious medical bills.

But I don't do my hair like that either so obviously Dog and I differ on matters of taste and moral fortitude.

http://www.jrn.com/ktnv/news/Money-pours-in-for-Christy-Macks-recovery-War-Machines-capture-271189561.html

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- As the hunt for MMA fighter War Machine continues, his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack continues her recovery in a hospital room after he allegedly beat her in a Las Vegas home last Friday.

Hundreds across the world have contributed to her medical expenses which doctors said are already in the hundreds of thousands.

MMA fighter Jonathan Koppenhaver, known as War Machine, has been on the run since he allegedly beat his adult film star ex-girlfriend Christy Mack, even tweeting, "The cops will never give me fair play...still deciding what to do."

Now, it's not just the cops War Machine has to worry about. Dog the Bounty Hunter told War Machine over Twitter he has 24-hours to turn himself in or "I am coming after you." Now, his time is up.

Christy Mack tweeted photos from her hospital bed saying she has suffered 18 broken bones, missing teeth, a broken nose, and a ruptured liver, but her fan base is showing their support through donations to her medical expenses on a site started by a fellow adult film actress Kendall Karson.

With donations ranging from just $5 to $3,500, the money keeps coming in, and so does the advocacy against domestic violence.

"People are hating on her on social media saying that because she's an adult entertainer that it doesn't really matter," said adult film actress and close friend Alexis Monroe. "We're not just entertainers. We have lives, families, friends."

Dr. Nicholas Toscano, a New York celebrity dentist, offered to fix Christy Mack's smile pro bono in a gesture not only to help her but other victims of domestic violence.

"Unfortunately she's become the poster girl for what a lot of women suffer every day at the hands of abusive men," Dr. Toscano told Action News. "If just a few doctors would take cases like this every day we could change a lot of people's lives."

Dr. Toscano has yet to treat Mack but said judging from her pictures, the injuries are severe and her road to recovery will be a long one, "She needs a lot of reconstruction and it's not something that happens overnight."

People advocating for War Machine's capture have contributed to a reward fund, including the Harrison family from the TV show "Pawn Stars." The Harrison family contributed $10,000, bringing the total reward to $20,000. It's up for grabs for anyone who has information leading to an arrest.

War Machine is thought to be in the San Diego area where he resides, and San Diego Police said the case has been turned over to the U.S. Marshal's Office.

*drops War Machine's severed head on counter* Yeah, it's one of a kind, I think I can part with this for $10,000

*long sigh* Look, the thing is I need to be able to sell it, and this isn't something anybody wants. Plus, it's missing pretty much the entire body...
