Turns out poor decision-making skills in people who choose to get punched in the head for a living is a gender-neutral thing.

Ohh, and California law considers out of state convictions when applying their Three Strikes rule, so if he gets done for felony assault on this one too he could be looking at life w/o parole.

let us take a moment to remember where his string of convictions started, a few years back when he was dumb enough to think that doing topless bottle service in a gay club would definitely not lead to drunk gay men putting their hands on or propositioning him, as doing topless bottle service in a gay club is a totally straight thing to do for money
It started years before that when he got 3 years probation for choking a guy out in the parking lot of a gym. The incident with the bouncer at the gay bar was his 2nd prison term.

Have you seen his fight with Shamrock? There's definitely some synergy there.

Bellator 127 Post-Fight Drug Test Failures
Newport Beach, Calif. (October 31, 2014) – Bellator 127 from Southern California’s Pechanga Resort and Casino saw four Bellator fighters fail their post-fight drug screenings under the California State Athletic Commission. All 22 fighters that took part in Bellator 127 were drug tested post-fight. The four fighters who tested positive can be found below:

Keith Berry – Elevated testosterone levels, marijuana.

Nick Moghaddam – Elevated testosterone levels, marijuana.

Rob Emerson – Designer performance enhancer (Modafinil)

Fernando Gonzalez - Marijuana

"I want to make very clear that under new management, Bellator will simply not stand for performance enhancing drugs inside our cage,” Bellator President Scott Coker said. “We fully support the California State Athletic Commission in their process, and standby any disciplinary action handed out by Commissioner Andy Foster and the CSAC. Fans, media and our athletes need to have a clear understanding that drug use will simply not be tolerated by Bellator."

To be fair to Emerson everyone who watched Grove-M'Pumbu qualified for a modafinil TUE.

Hey, yinz remember Viacheslav Datsik, that guy who knocked out Arlovski in their pro debuts then went on a crime spree, got sent to an insane asylum after claiming to his court-appointed psychiatrist that he was in the reincarnation of a slavic pagan god, escaped from said asylum by ripping through the fence with his bare hands, stole a boat and snuck into Norway where he tried to claim political asylum based on being a neo-nazi before being deported back to Russia where he demanded to be given the maximum sentence on the basis that he was "too raw for humanity"? Well, contrary to previous rumors about his death in a Siberian labor camp, he is alive and is very upset about the deleterious effect that Alexander Emelianenko's release might have on society:

"Fightland posted:

Emelianenko is no angel himself, having been sentenced to prison for four-and-a-half years in May 2015 after being found guilty of rape. Aleks also has some questionable Russian prison tattoos some have accused as promoting potential Neo Nazi beliefs.

The diabolic Datsik sent his page-long diatribe to the Moscow courts. This included the following rambled passage: “I have known Aleks since 2003. Initially it was sport and friendship. But, I did not recognise his vile and rotten nature. This man is prone to betrayal and deception to profit from his friends and acquaintances.” This is before he accuses Fedor’s sibling of beating women at sporting events.

However, the two were supposedly friends at one point in time according to Datsik. In 2010, Emelianenko refuted this, saying: “This man isn’t a normal person. People like him shouldn’t be around normal people. He should be kept separate from society.”

To that, Datsik then publicly asked—from a prison cell, of course—to have Emelinaneko’s address so he can come find and confront him once he eventually gets his release from prison. If that ever happens, anyway.

It is highly doubtful that Datsik’s plea to the courts will see the time of day. But, this is the latest incident in one of the strangest and longest-running rivalries MMA has to offer.
