gently caress this show. Nice OP, Cuwi.

Rachel did not have that much screen time last season and her songs were either crappy duets or boring solos. Better songs for Rachel, please.

The play hasn't premiered; her dreams are haven't come true yet. They have already done all but one or two of the "big" songs from Funny Girl (People), so there isn't much iTunes money left in that plot and thus it might burn out sooner than later.

However, if this somehow results in a real Funny Girl revival with Lea as Fannie that would be totally ok.

I have a hard time believing that anyone other than their own IRL mothers cares enough about the new kids or Tina to buy a cover sung by any of them. That doesn't excuse the poor/unpredictable quality of the show, it just reinforces the common belief that Ryan Murphy is a talentless piece of poo poo.

On another topic, the perennial rumors about Lea Michele getting her own spinoff are popping up again.

Rachel having enough time and artistic energy to devote to a garage band while she is literally Fanny loving funny girl Brice is the most unrealistic thing this show has ever done, but I hope they get to do at least a few songs before Demi and Adam are fired because they'll probably be good.

To be honest, I didn't think that episode was that good. It was just not horrible, so a lot of people were confused and thought that meant it must be great. The 30 second preview for it after the previous episode was better, in my opinion. Actually made me feel something.

It's still the only ep worth watching this season, however, and it should have been a two hour made for TV movie/series finale given the epidemic of anhedonia in the ratings for this season. Or they can nuke Lima and make a show worth watching that actually features characters people care about and want to hear sing instead of just wheeling them out for four glib lines and a paucity of screen time each week.

Edit: surprisingly, there isn't a bridge with a fake key change and Lea belting a high note for sixteen beats while the final chorus kicks in and a single tear rolls down her cheek

On the off chance that Lea Michele starts getting solos again, I hope they take this song into consideration. Could also function as a Naya & Demi duet when they write off whatever her character's name is.
