Good Hunter, what... what is this post?
Also the majority of the TT description was what they can do,

ignoring that they can still do those things in TTG.

I realize it's probably as much of a troll as everything else, but I'm still hoping we get episodes mocking all those new villians :allears:

(my main disappointment re: return of slade was that they wasted their chance to spend an episode parodying slade)

I don't wanna I don't wanna I don't wanna I don't wanna!!!

The fact that they ignored Slade altogether was the best parody of Slade they could have done.

I actually want them to parody "Things Change." The internet would flip.

That would be a great way to start another Terra episode. She shows up in a school girl outfit, says "It's ok I'm not evil anymore," and they immediately believe her while she starts planting bombs all over the tower.

Nah, Terra has quit villainy and is trying to just be a normal girl in school, and the Titans have to convince her to be a villain again.

Yeah, I saw that as a recommended link but I of course couldn't bear to actually watch it. Does he like it because it disses TTG, because it is a better PPG than the new series or some other thing?

I mostly skimmed it, but he didn't seem to be talking about the cross over at all. Just that both of the shows could be good if they were good, or something along those lines.

The one Admirable I saw from him was really just a summary of the events of the episode and didn't go into why the episode was good at all.

Bleh, that's why I don't watch reviews of cartoons, people think that since the shows are for kids they can get away without doing real analysis.

At least we're getting a new episode on Monday.

Between this and the rental property episode, they've got this amazing niche where they teach Valuable Life Lessons but only on the condition that the information cannot possibly have any utility for a young audience.

I watched most of the first two seasons of Teen Titans when it was on. Recently I watched Seasons 3 and 4, decided to space out Season 5 for later, and started watching season 1 of Teen Titans Go.

The show isn't at all like people say it is. I've heard "you can find this kind of humor in any kids' show". It does look influenced by Adventure Time and The Regular Show, for the moments where they say something like "dodgeball style" and words flash up on the screen, and the episodes where Robin goes on a surrealistic adventure to visit the Couch Spirit or the Universe Tree. The jokes involving sudden photorealism probably came from Ren & Stimpy/SpongeBob, but everything else has been really original.

I loved the episodes "Books" and "Power Moves". I haven't watched anything in a while where the characters act so over-the-top excited. It's hilarious.

I still find it funny that old fans are still so pissed off about GO, acting like the 03 show is some kind of sacred cow. My opinion's always been that it went downhill in the second season and never got back up.

I remember loving the first season of the old 03 Teen Titans. They had a good thing going on with Slade's overarching presence, taking time to develop the team's relationships and throwing in a few crazy episodes like Mad Mods. Then the big finale where Slade can't handle all five of them at once and gets his rear end kicked. Overall very nicely done and leaving me wanting more.

Then they dropped the ball with season 2. They could have had Terra more involved, but kept her out of things until the very end. Then there was the whole ridiculous situation where she gleefully thinks she's killed the Titans, changes her mind once she finds out Slade put nanomachines in her body, and everyone's all "She was a super amazing friend." That was also where the writers started using deus ex machinas to close out every season finale.

Sure there would be good stand alone episodes here and there, but I always missed how nicely woven the first season was.

The faces on the other Titan's faces as they're chanting to scoot that booty was also pretty great

His "down here" speech and everything involving Freaky Face were also comedy gold.

Booty Scooty might be one of my favorite episodes of all time, and I don't even like the Goonies movie that much.

You know this is a great show because the last episode ended with all of them still villains and the one before ended with them all dead.

I think my favorite part of the villain one was Robin being liked for his traits that most episodes spend hating him for.
