I barely watched the original TT at all even though I was a teenager when it first aired and think Teen Titans Go is hilarious. I think it stands well enough on its own as a show about a dysfunctional group of young adult superheroes.

adventure time is okay sometimes i guess but it kind of amazes me how far up its own rear end a kids show in a parody fairytale world can be. i like TTG because it's basically an adult swim cartoon without the swear words

i mean, maybe there is something to the idea that teen titans go should not make episodes glorifying being a lazy sack of poo poo. those people clearly watched those episodes, and then went on to become tvtropes editors. QED

I did not watch the original Teen Titans so maybe there was something about the show that made all of its fans shove giant sticks up their asses, but if you told me the original creators of pretty much any show I like were going to make an official parody of their own material, I'd be super stoked.
