There is no choice in the demo, you just get an idea of the tone of the writing. The choice in the game is coming across two doors and the narrator saying that you go through the left door, and then you decide which one to go through. The original mod diverged massively based on choices like that.

I saw everything I possibly could in the original mod and this loving game keeps throwing things at me that I wouldn't expect for a second. gently caress, (you probably shouldn't read this, but I just need to say something) the game dropped me into Minecraft, the Narrator built a house and then decided the game was too open so he loaded up portal.
