Jupiter's Legacy is interesting in that it's Millar being restrained (and restraining himself even). It's... pretty good, really. I wouldn't have looked at it if not for Quite Frankly's art. I don't know what will happen with the show but the comic is solid. None of your usual Millar edgelord nonsense, your booby trapped vaginas and whatnot.

Ultimately, I think I hated the (do we bother spoiling this book?) Butcher truly is the supreme rear end in a top hat heel turn that happens toward the end more than the over-the-top satirical "LOL IT'S THE X-MEN BUT THEY'RE INTO WATCHING PORN AND CIRCLE JERKS" portions, even if that was super dumb even for the time. I guess he's not one for nuance. I like that the show is at least doing some different things with Butcher, but he's still mostly an rear end in a top hat.

The show really had me going for a minute at the end, i thought butcher was really gonna sacrifice himself and was like wow this show is really doing something different here, but then not only does that not happen but 5 minutes later AOC is revealed to be a secret supervillain

Yeah AOC being a villain became very clear during the last election if you've been paying attention.

I am kind of fascinated that the showrunner decided to go to (it seems) with 'Thunderbolts anti-hero' Zemo instead of the 'Nazi oligarch' Zemo we all assumed was happening.

To be fair, Thunderbolts Aniti-Hero Zemo was the breakout success version of the character. Before then he was just "lame Red Skull knock-off #57".

Plus MCU Zemo was never a Nazi. There's probably some kind of discussion to be had about taking a Nazi character and making them no longer a Nazi, but that's a different discussion. The character as presented in the MCU has completely different motivations for his actions than the one in the comics.

MCU Zemo has killed a lot of Hydra people too. If he hadn't bombed the UN he'd be almost heroic.

MCU Zemo is a good villain cause he's absolutely right about everything he says, and through a lens of absolutism, every thing he's done is totally justifiable. Yes he bombed the UN, but it was the only way to get rid of the Avengers, who are a much greater threat and have done more damage and caused more death (if you believe what Zemo does) than one bomb, so it's worth the cost. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

Of course bombing the UN and Zemos overall plot caused the Avengers to fracture, meaning there wasnt a unified front when the Black Order first attacked. Its very likely that a full roster Avengers led by Cap and Tony couldve stopped Thanos early (imagine if Cap had been on Titan to reign in Star-Lord). So Zemo is indirectly responsible for Thanos wiping out half the universe.

I want him to keep singing the praises of Marvin Gaye even if he goes full baddie. He's enacting some master plan against Captain Marvel and is just "Colonel Danvers, I really think you should add the Trouble Man soundtrack to your Spotify playlist, it transcends the movie it was originally designed to compliment and is truly transformative" even while he's blowing up the Statue of Liberty or some poo poo.
