The US version of 'X Factor' is apparently dead, with Simon headed back to the UK to do their version again. http://www.hitfix.com/the-fien-print/foxs-x-factor-ends-as-simon-cowell-returns-to-the-x-factor-uk

Shimrra Jamaane posted:Is CBS the only network that isn't run by complete retards? Part of their success is that ABC and NBC have been terrible for almost a decade now, and Fox has only had sporadic success.

CBS is also primarily bringing in a much older demographic. I think the median age of their viewership is like 55. That's not sustainable, since eventually the people used to just watching network TV will die off, and the younger generations are not that interested in network or cable programming as much.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I feel like in the past Fox hasn't announced the renewals of their animated shows until basically the last minute. I remember it took them forever to officially announce The Cleveland Show being cancelled despite the studio having ceased production on it months beforehand.

I still haven't figured out why William Shatner continues to plug CW shows constantly on Twitter. He's either a giant fanboy or cashing a check (for some reason). I lean towards the latter, of course...

Kevin Reilly is out as entertainment chairman at FOX. I blame FOX's insistence on keeping around the rotting corpse that is American Idol and making it a central part of their lineup. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/foxs-kevin-reilly-depart-707910
