polyester concept posted:Dude you're reading into poo poo way too much, those are just press photos lmao. It's not like he's constantly posting selfies of them two on instagram every day Hard agree here. e: Atticus is the first "official" member of the band other than Trent, so yes, he's in the press photos. There are absolutely more photos of Trent and Mariqueen there than there are press photos of Trent and Atticus, just peruse her Instagram. HTDA hasn't done anything in 5+ years and was never a part of NIN, so that means very little. And yes, his wife went to the Oscars with him and they were photographed together. Obviously there's nothing wrong with being whatever orientation you are, but the theorycrafting to try to twist things is weird and kinda gross, if you ask me. sleepwalkers fucked around with this message at 16:34 on Sep 24, 2019 |

axelblaze posted:I have no problem at all with him being bisexual, I just think someone's sexuality is very personal to them and is not something that should be defined by others, especially with mostly circumstantial evidence and gossipy bullshit to back it up Yep, it's 100% this. Nobody's saying it isn't possible, but I think you're being extremely weird about it, Donovan Trip. Gossiping about what you think press photos with Atticus really mean or why there aren't more photos of him and Mariqueen comes off as invasive and creepy. He is obviously a private dude, the reason you don't see more photos of him and his wife is because he's not sharing them publicly, not because they don't exist. We don't need to analyze everything we can find about someone for hidden signs about their sexual orientation.

I wanna say most of the LITS setlists were incredibly similar because of how elaborate the set production was. We got spoiled by the last tour switching it up so often. My first show was the US winter leg of the With Teeth tour in February 2006, the setlist was only remarkable in as much as a) it was one of the first half dozen or so shows since the Fragility tour, and b) they played 10 tracks off of With Teeth, only skipping All the Love in the World, Sunspots, and The Collector.

obviously their typical setlist is gonna be different with a new album out, but it’d be weird for tears and die slow to fall off their normal set, they’ve been staples forever!

Yeah, I’m sure it was mentioned at the time but this is Greg Puciato of Dillinger Escape Plan, Josh Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv and touring band member for Hesitation Marks, and a NIN guitar tech

the trailer leak had an extremely Movie Trailer-rear end version of something i can never have in it, so it’s got a little more connection to nin than just the name. who knows if there’ll be anything more than that.

I think young kids are starting to treat CDs as novelty physical media like I treat vinyl? But I have literally no way to listen or rip one without buying extra hardware so I'll take files over one any day. Easier to keep an offline library anyway.

i think this sounds harsher than i intend, but i've always thought with teeth was a collection of good to very good songs that end up feeling like less than the sum of their parts when assembled into album form. it's like a singles compilation, there's something about it that doesn't end up feeling super cohesive. but at the time it meant NIN was back and was the first tour i got to see, so ultimately it's the best album.

El Gallinero Gros posted:Have any of you ever dealt with vivid seats before? I'm buying 2 tickets for the Toronto show and everyone else is too pricy or the tickets stink Vivid is a perfectly fine secondhand vendor, but I haven’t had to deal with their support. At least before some of the new laws took effect, Vivid hid fees like mad to look way cheaper and wanted you to get to the end of the checkout before telling you the real price which was scummy. Most of the tickets on those sites are also on Seatgeek, Stubhub, Ticketmaster resale, etc though, so sticking to one that you’re comfortable with shouldn’t cost you.

Midjack posted:Didn't fully hate it, but it felt like the set had three or four exit points starting around the half hour mark and it didn't take the off ramps. One of the venue staff said they had been told that BN was supposed to wrap up about a half hour earlier than he did but I have no sourcing for that claim. the whole tour has been (or intended to be) ~50-60 minute boys noize set directly into trent at the piano with no break, so i'm guessing they got bad info?

motherbox posted:I will find it amusing if the outcome of NIN taking a deal with the mouse is increased exposure for NIN and a abortive attempt at soft relaunching a franchise for Disney. The general sentiment seems to the be the soundtrack rips, the rest is forgettable. I'm not sure that "justifies selling out" or whatever, but I also don't mind someone who fought the good fight just having a happy couple of decades and getting his bag. i did go see it tonight and i walked away feeling exactly like i did about legacy: it’s an average action movie elevated by a banger soundtrack and incredible visuals with a protagonist (not leto) who has the charisma of a 2x4. it’s at its best when it is a glorified music video and at its worst when it is trying to make me feel anything for a tech ceo character who has the emotional range of actual mark zuckerberg. sleepwalkers fucked around with this message at 02:20 on Oct 10, 2025 |
