Present posted:Some of the old Soviet cartoons made just after WW2 had absolutely incredible animation because they were made by FILMING ACTORS AND THEN TRACING THE FOOTAGE. Here's a good example, a fairy tale similar to Beauty and the Beast: What's your point? Disney did this with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, too. The same technique was used in Titan AE, Anastasia, and other Bluth films. Rotoscoping was even used in the French/Czech animated masterpiece Fantasic Planet.
