Honestly, if you only have $50 free to buy a tablet you should not be buying a tablet.

I used an Ubuntu laptop for a long time but got tired of janitoring it. Get a cheap macbook. You can snatch one for under $1000 and then get a Nexus 7 2013 for you bed tablet needs.
