I think I need someone to take over for me this year. I haven't been keeping up very well and I've got a lot on my plate in the next few months. Takers?

Hello, you don't know me but please do this. I've been lurking for months waiting to try my hand at a NICSA.

drat, someone wants to actually do a NICSA and it's one thing I really feel like I'd fail the gently caress out of. Oh well.

Still hoping to one day find NICSA: Roasted Chicken or something like that

Yup. Just remember, we are meanest to the regulars, newbies get a lot of leeway.

All the more reason to do it!

Pie. Make one. It's tasty.

I'll put the post up on Monday. I need to make an example or two first.

I'll run a NICSA/ICSA next if we need a chairperson, now that I have income, time, some internet maturity (IKR! like fine cheese), ideas, and energy.

I like my NICSA idea... but our american holiday is awfully close... I guess it could start in a week and end after that holiday? My ICSA idea is better for spring, so I'll still volunteer for that.

Speak ye of St. Swithin's Day?

We could do a sweet potato/squash one, that would be fun.

Do it. I'll find time to cook. Or just do it as part of Thanksgiving.

Had to google St. Swithin's day. Goodness, wonder if that has any relation to the insane summer rains we had here this year.

To be honest, it was a Simpsons reference which I only just learned was a real holiday. I'd've picked a November holiday for realism's sake, otherwise!

Alright noobs! In a possibly unprecedented move, your chairwoman has decided to allow you to choose between her original ingredient, NICSA: CARAMELIZED ONION, and a new theme ingredient, NICSA: CRANBERRIES!!! (Edit: non-cranberry-havers could use lingonberries or similar.)

You have until Saturday, November 7, 12:00 pm (noon) CST (GMT -6) to decide.
