Anyone know anything about editing on Toonami? I'd love to start tuning in again, but if they're gonna be cutting bits I'd prefer to just torrent it.

The only cuts Toonami really does is the shortening of openings and endings for time and like one bleeped swear on SAO. Besides, this is the absolute world premiere and what seems like a flagship title for the block. They're not gonna make it an inferior experience.

I was pretty amazed at all the parts of Evangelion 2.22 they left in. I guess airing at 2am helps.

When it comes to the show that opens the block, they don't cut the opening down. They've kept Bleach's OP intact, but admitted when Space Dandy leads, they're going to edit Bleach's down.

My first thought upon hearing the opening narration and music wasn't "Gundam Wing" oddly, but "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors". Having listened to the opening of that it doesn't actually sound that similar, but I still can't help thinking of it every time I listen to the first few seconds because the music and voice are still a bit like it.

I liked how colorful it was. That's it. It's hard to judge from just 10 minutes but it's the first 10 minutes, and in the time it takes to air that CN/Adult Swim could air an entire episode of Adventure Time. I can't say I'm a fan of Watanabe since I couldn't get into Bebop and haven't watched any of his other shows. But he made Baby Blue from Genius Party and that's one of the best uses of 15 minutes I've ever seen, so I think he could have opened with something better.
