What is this kid's DEAL?!

I hope there will be a companion in Eternity who fits the Jan Jansen/HK-47 profile of having absolutely no respect for their fellow party members and reminding them of it at every opportunity.

Yes. I think that one conversation in BG2 when Viconia asks why you are adventuring with Jan and you reply with a rambling, blatantly false story of your own was a major high point. Some of the trolling dialogue in the IE games was so great I had to take it even when I was doing a paladin run. Definitely hoping for some party members with a sense of humor.

Yes, I loving love it when spells are named after these egotistical wizards that researched them. :getin:

Totally. Especially if you get little tidbits about the creator in the long version of the spell description, like how IE games had little backstories for identified magic items.

Not quite the same, but druids have a high-level spell called Garden of Life that creates small fonts of healing around the bodies of downed enemies.

Sweet. I always wanted to try a plant mage who recognized that carrion fertilizer was part of the circle of life. Only Dominions-style manikin minions would be cooler. PoE looks like it'll make room for plenty of cool character concepts.

The 10th is Rational, sort of a counterpart to Passionate.

Sweet! My wizard is probably going to end up absolutely insufferable.

I think I am the only person who feels like Nier is just contrived misery porn and not anything special at the story telling level. By the end of the game, the ham handed plot twists they have to conjure to evoke Feel Bad literally caused me to laugh out loud.

No, I remember seeing the writing on the wall and ditching Nier before I even got to the cool text adventure segment I heard about and bought the game for. For me, Nier ends when the main character gets run over by a boar. Kind of a shame, since I liked the gameplay. The first boss fight was great.

I suspect it's more likely to be a PoE sourcebook for Pathfinder than a Pathfinder CRPG.

Either of those would be pretty cool. If some of the people at Obsidian wrote adventure modules for Pathfinder, I'd totally buy that too.

It was either that or complaining for three pages about how spiders being in the game prevented me for accessing certain content and because I wouldn't be able to fill out the Spider bestiary entry and get that extra XP it would harm my optimised builjsgfklsdfbhksd

I think there was actually a big kerfuffle over spiderlike enemies triggering arachnophobes in the Terraria fanbase after the Crimson biome got added. It culminated in a full graphical replacement mod for all the spider enemies being made.

My perspective on the randomized loot is that more variance is cool. Not only does it mean different playthroughs could end up with more cool unexpected loot, it also gives compulsive reloaders more payoff. So long as the pre-placed loot is good enough to take a party through the game, I don't see a downside to chances for other interesting random stuff.
