It's wierd cause so much of the genre is so samey, but the stuff that stands out just hooks me.

Has anyone mentioned OGRE in the thread yet? He's the artist who got me into the genre. https://ogresound.bandcamp.com/album/194

195 was among the first of the non-CB/Perturbator dance-inspired stuff that I heard in the genre and it truly does sound like a soundtrack for an 80's action sci-fi film that never got made.

The All Hallows' album is cool too.

Up shit creek.
Oscillian's new album is awesome. Really a unique style:

https://oscillian.bandcamp.com/album/lp-ad-astra

It's his followup to his terrific Building better worlds:

https://oscillian.bandcamp.com/album/lp-building-better-worlds

For me he's up there with Brut and Perturbator, but not as dark.

I kinda think ~New Retro Wave~ has already kinda went mainstream, lots of pop music is already drawing off it a lot and some acts are getting into some high budget things.
I'm glad of it.

Pretty much. She was a massive, massive part of the original wave of vapor and a lot of the artist names are her aliases. I remember when Vektroid being a lady was just a vague rumor that was going around.

My understanding is FM-84 is a full time software developer in the city and the music is a hobby. I assume he would need to take a leave of absence or quit to do a real tour.

Reach for the moon!
I've started a manhunt for a song I found in a "you groove you lose" thread on 4chan and I'm glad to see this thread is still around in the hopes you could help me out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPd5W7E9HyE

Here's the webm in its entirety (you should watch Firefox by the way it's a good movie), this is all I have to go on. It was called 'made.webm' and I cannot get this drat song out of my head so I'm hoping for all of our benefits you will be able to help me find it. The lyrics have unfortunately been no help, because searching for them hasn't brought the right result. Apps like Shazam also did not pick up anything. I suspect it's an indie track, maybe soundcloud or bandcamp, but I have no way of properly searching for the lyrics on those sites. Does anyone know this song, or perhaps know how I could find it?
