It's a band that mixed some other songs by other synthwave bands, and I did not know that when I queued it up on spotify in my "music to check out while I am working" playlist. It was one heck of a weird trip just now when it hit the chorus and I was pulled out of my work by my brain going "Wait why isn't this The Midnight"? oh hell yes! i had this same moment back when i first heard this song, except for me it was "running in the night?!?"
