Album is shaping up to be pretty fantastic, glad I pre-ordered the vinyl a few weeks back.

Just got my copy of Monsters and it looks like it might be a widespread bad pressing..my needle moves side to side and wants to skate out, checked discogs and there was already two comments of similar..

The Midnight/Vinyl Company sent an email out admitting the pressing of Monsters was hosed up for nearly everyone and are offering free replacements.

Got my replacement The Midnight - Monsters vinyl in and to be honest I hadn't even listened to it on spotify because I was so disappointed that my copy was all messed up.

It's very good and the new pressing is a bit better (or they just went through their stock and got rid of the bad ones)

for anyone who hasn't heard the amazon-only midnight release from last year. whole thing drops the 19th

it's much much better than monsters

Definitely better than anything they've done in the past two albums.

a post on reddit brought up the old weather channel that used to just show weather information with elevator jazz played over it, and it's actually like prime god tier retrowave vibes with zero edits needed.

Can totally agree with the midnight stuff, I thought it was going to blow me away but as it turns out he's kind of a one trick pony with his vocals and they just didn't sound good with that orchestra, here's hoping they release the instrumental tracks.

Great track, love Greg Puciato's vocals on pretty much everything he's on and this is no exception.

Hopefully figuring out how to make an album that doesn't have 35 minutes of meandering filler.

I think 8 of the 13 tracks on Dark All Day are fantastic, The Midnight is approaching critical stinker level

I went to the first one in Rhode Island when I was still living there and it was a great time, if I wasn't moving I was going to take a trip down for a day or two. IMO though this isn't nearly as good of a line up as year 1 but they really got derailed due to covid.

so fucken rad. copyright sucks though, it's gonna disappear in a year - are there services out there than can download long-duration youtube content?

is it a copyright thing? I always thought the French/German government subsidized the ARTE stuff, maybe the rights then go to the artist so they can post it?

The singer showed up for Widowmaker in the above Carpenter Brut concert and he kinda sucked live imo

I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt he clearly walked out on that stage and was overwhelmed by the amount of people since Brut was headlining

had this on my list to listen to all week and finally sitting here listening, it's amazing how far some of the artists in this genre have grown as musicians and songwriters. It really feels like you're on the journey with Captain Sydney (Syd for short come on now)
