I missed Carpenter Brut when he was in SF. Had no idea he was coming here until I saw a video of the show. I could cry. I've been into synthwave and '80s influenced music since forever. Glad to see there's a thread.

Alan Smithee posted:their merch guy told me when I asked gr8 shirt LA's kinda far. i think i'd be more likely to see him in France having a band when you're playing live doesn't make you a band (just makes it awesome)

🎃 Since it's the spooky month, does anyone have any recs for retrowave/horrorsynth that sounds like it's straight out of a 70s/80s horror flick? Lookin for those John Carpenter or Goblin vibes, or anything that's a bit spookier than typical retrowave. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PqDrCo748k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Y1afHyZl08 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhhQrFfzFM4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mv3boKFffrQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoU2Dqc-J2A I just really like synths ok Unrelated, Occams Laser released a new album the other day. I like his stuff, but it always bothered me how one of the tracks on his Road to Fury album sounds like it's ripping off Pacific Coast Highway.

so excited for perturbator in january!! i personally dont really get why metalheads are into synthwave. pretty much the only metal i like is as close to shoegaze as possible, while i am crazy about all sorts of synth
