Watching the streaming atm and they're interviewing Memo Gidley. He's still in a wheelchair rehabbing in San Francisco, but he's doing better!

Wow you could see that dumbass wreck coming from a mile away, also Tags involved :ohdear:

Also upon further review I didn't see a yellow flag anywhere near the original spin.

If I worked as a Flag Marshall as soon as that PC car spun around I'd have my local yellow flag in the air to alert everyone, so why didn't this guy do that?

Are all 4 of the classes Pro-Am? Or only some of them?

You'd figure the P/PC classes would be restricted to pros only in order to avoid n00b poo poo like what :btroll: did

Only the PC and GTD classes require teams field amateur drivers, and a majority at that. There are no pro/am rules restrictions in P or GTLM, so while you might see the occasional rich white dude in one of those cars it's mostly in the other classes.

Thanks for the clarification!

Has any video of the wreck made its way onto the internet yet?

Also apparently the ChumpCar World Series has it's annual "Cookie Cutter Classic" at GingerMan Raceway this weekend. I had never heard of GMR until yesterday when my boss e-mailed me a Groupon for some open-wheel driving deal, but they're only 1hr away. Now I know what I'm doing after hockey on Saturday!
