One of the things that depresses me about reading this thread is that I sort of feel the same way, but I'm a liberal. IE: Instead of feeling like food stamps will destroy the country and make the poor into useless people who suck up ARE TAX MONEY, I feel that food stamp cuts will inevitably hurt a lot more people than it will help, and the people in power aren't affected so they don't care. I mean, I think that I'm right about that. I've read science-things that say I'm right about that, but does that mean I am right? And even if I am, does it matter? I think I need a break from politics for a while.
