They watched a drink driving PSA from over here in Ireland on O&A today with a kid getting killed by a car coming through the hedge is his garden. That ad ran all day, every day on TV over here and was followed up with another ad where two teenagers were making out and a car plows into them and pins the girl against a wall between her dead boyfriend and the car that hit them. It ends with her weeping at his funeral with two hosed up legs. Then there's was one of some young guys mother talking about how vibrant he was and how much he was enjoying his youth. Cut to the guy who's now a vegetable in a wheelchair being spoon fed like a baby after crashing his car when he was driving drunk. Now they just run one of a emergency room doctor talking about how he goes about telling people that their loved ones died in a car accident and there was nothing that could be done. Drink driving is a huge thing in this country still and it was weird hearing O&A watching the ad.

Been giving R&F another shot since the Cakehorn thing. The new version of the show is infinitely more listenable because it contains far less of hipster-dad Rons interviews with nobodies. It's mostly just shooting the poo poo and Hicks is the official second mic at this stage with very little attempt to make it seem otherwise. One bit that did annoy me yesterday was that woman who sent in the parody of the song from Frozen about how little she cared about the abuse she got on message boards after appearing on the show recently. Yeah honey, you cared so little you went off an recorded a song about how little you cared.

The only other problem i have is the fact that he thinks that every band/musician from the 70s are automatically geniuses and everything after is terrible.

Scott Shannon plugging Jimmy for a minute solid on his FM show was weird today, as was Jimmy saying he's going to be on Scotts show tomorrow. He also talked up the 20 years of O&A. He seems like a genuinely nice guy who took his ribbing properly unlike Todd who just ignores their existence completely even when they are ruining his shows Facebook and Twitter for days at a time.
