Doresh posted:It's a futuristic gimp suit made out of a frictionless material (the palms and soles are roughened so you can actually walk and grab stuff) that supposedly makes the wearer "nearly immune to any sort of entangling or grappling attack", which in game terms translates to a +1 on grapple-related Defense rolls (+2 circumstance bonus to grapple checks in OGL). A bit underwhelming, is all I'm saying. (you can't always formalize a happy little penguin into game terms, is all I'm trying to say)

Ratpick posted:Wait, doesn't Ryutama have farmer as one of the classes your character can be? What was their thing again in the adventuring party scheme of things? It does, but being a game about travelling, it does not give farmers much in terms of abilities or opportunities to do actual farming. They are more similar to a generic jack-of-all-trades class from roguelikes. Foglet fucked around with this message at 14:34 on Jul 16, 2015 |

That sounds fascinating. gradenko_2000 posted:I think the legit RPG you're thinking about it is the Realms of Arkania series. I also really liked the Realms of Arkania trilogy back in the nineties, long before knowing anything about Das Schwartze Auge or tabletop RPGs. (wow, I just learned that all three are available on Steam either separately or as a bundle, might as well check them out again to see if they aged well edit: on GOG as well, looks like the trilogy's even cheaper over there) Foglet fucked around with this message at 09:13 on Aug 6, 2015 |

gradenko_2000 posted:Fantasy Farming Simulator 1999! Oooh, now I remember that a month ago, there was a talk in this thread about rural role-playing and how Ryytama's farmer class wasn't up to much as far as agriculture was concerned. Wikipedia posted:HârnMaster Core was seen by some as an oversimplification of the original. Some fans appreciated the change as it made play move faster at the expense of realism. Others preferred the realism of the original. Original author N. Robin Crossby responded with the even more detailed HârnMaster Gold. Also the first ever published adventure was titled 100 Bushels of Rye. ...Now I might need to know more.

Oh, I think I might have some idea of that controversial matter you imply there We shall see, WildFire, we shall see.
