As someone who used to have Verizon and switched to TMobile years ago I can say their coverage is very good. Allegedly if you're out in the boonies you still need Verizon, but the only places I've ever lost service in the last several years has been in very rural areas and never while on a major highway, and even then not often. Obviously test it for yourself, but TMobile coverage is much much better than it was a decade ago.

The phrasing on the data upgrade is ambiguous, but it reads to me like you get an extra 500mb per year as like a loyalty bonus up to a 2.5gb cap. The metro plan will go up, re: "for 60 days after customers activate." What the difference is between TMobile connect and the Metro plan is though it doesn't say.

Plus they're basically free. If you needed a line you'd've bought one up front so they're not losing sales, and all the cost of providing service is in the infrastructure, the marginal cost of a new line is essentially zero, a couple lines in their subscriber database.

I have TMobile, I've had Verizon, I've never had a good experience at either of their stores.

Elephanthead posted:Aren’t most t mobile stores just third party poop? Also not unique to TMobile but yes.

My Pixel 4a has developed a dead band in the touchscreen. I see that T-Mobile is offering $250 for a trade-in for it, could this issue with the touchscreen effect this? It turns on / holds a charge / no visible damage, etc.
