I remember Winx Club used to be on the 4 kids block of TV on Saturdays when I was a kid. I think it basically WAS sailor moon, only with Fairies. I don't know why I remember that.

For your example of a larger woman, the most recent game has Norma DePlume who is an influential non-fiction writer. I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't played it, but while there are a couple cracks on her size, she's presented as an actual, powerful person.

Baby's head is bigger than mother's torso. Candy vendor is a poorly-disguised extraterrestrial. I mean, it's possible that all the characters are drawn in radically different styles because they were "borrowed" from other projects-- but that would be unethical.
