Random thoughts from the race: - Racing after the delay was so much better. - Glad Danica was OK after that brutal hit. The in-car was hard to watch. - I haven't seen Junior that excited about racing in almost 10 years. Awesome to see, and good for the sport. - How the gently caress Denny ran the final 150 laps without a spotter, make moves and finish 2nd I'll never know.

With those drivers that are typically always at rear half of the field, they're racing with a different purpose, and a lot of that is to just finish in one piece. Yeah they're also going to be racy with each other and fight for those positions, but I don't think it's as haphazard and aggressive as Danica might be. She doesn't qualify well ever, and has to make up for it, but she's not good enough to. Then she gets caught up with the Allgaiers and Kvapils of the world that really want nothing to do with her, and then it's a big dramatic mess. Those guys get mad because they NEED to finish races and not tear up race cars. They don't have a bottomless pit of money, and they're wise enough to know their role and talented enough (generally) to get their specific job done.
