There's no need to world-build a fantasy race wholecloth when you can model them after some of the most geographically and temporally "alien" cultures compared to generic European medieval fantasy. I am a huge anthropology nerd so maybe that plays into my opinion, but yeah. That poo poo is right up my alley. Would love to see more.
