Tokugawa Kamenosuke Regarding the control of sado, it is my decision that we split the island under sever daimyo, notably the honorable Matsudaira brothers whom fought so valiantly to secure it. Such worthy courage, and the bonds they portrayed under battle surely cements them as worthy to rule part of the island. I shall draw up divisions once I consult with them. Of course sado will answer fully to the congress and president of the glorious Ezo republic, this is just a local control matter of which I wish to solve. Having lost his leg, it is only right that Katamori be allowed to continue to serve with distinction and honor, with local lordship over at least part of Sado.

The allotment of land to honorable men, who will serve the shogunate with the rank of daimyo. After tedious deliberation with Tokugawa advisers we have found the men whom will serve as daimyo, and the land they must improve and serve honorably from.  Sado, in purple shall remain Mine personally. The sea green region shall come under Governor daimyo Governor daimyo Nagai Naoyuki is given the yellow region. The light orange region, after much deliberation will be given to the Matsudaira, namely Matsudaira Katamori. the green region is given to Matsumae Takahiro as an act of reconciliation between the two clans. Light blue is given to Kasuga Saemon Brown allotted to Tsukinoeaino of the Ainu Our current president, now daimyo Enomoto Takeaki is given the lands in blue Pink is for our loyal army minister Otori Keisuke Red for our Security Magistrate: Hijikata Toshiz The region in orange for Arai Ikunosuke Finally Light purple for high judge Takenaka Shigekata management of these lands is left to their governor daimyo. I am honored to see Matsumae Takahiro willingly take the role of daimyo, for though we may have had our grievances it is only right that a family as old and wise as the Matsumae be granted this honor. My other newly crowned daimyo Kasuga, has also proved his worth exceptionally, with his skill in the arts. May his wise ways, transfer well to the administration of his holdings. Finally the removal of that insidious and foolish bill has been struck down, showing that ezo is a nation of men, not desperate cowards. However not all is well. It saddens me to see disdain for the appointment of an Ainu chieftain, for they have proven to be as courageous as any Samurai. I could never stomach the loss of Ezo's rightful lands to the Russian devils. However I now have a tale to relate to my samurai. Once there was a women, so foul and shrew like in temperament that none could bear her company. She stank of cow, and had the ravenous hunger of a an unleashed typhoon. Yet the gods were cruel, and blessed this creature with the visage of a goddess. Men from around the countryside all tried winning her hand, forgoing her absurdities. The first man to win her favour, was left destitute after beuying her the finest silks, though he was happy until she moved on to another. Shamed, he committed honorable suicide, departing this world for his mistakes. My point is men, many of you are young and not nearly so sardonic as I. be careful of the devil woman, for her beauty at night may distract you from her evils in day. I only say this, because I know. For you see that woman was.... My eldest sister. In other news, I wish my eldest sister the best as she marries Mr. Blakiston. May this cement ties between myself and Britian.

Recently and at the expense of the Tokugawa family, I have expanded and worked the mines on sado, that recently fell into my ownership. Amidst the explosions of rock, and deep snaking tunnels, several new gold deposits have been located, and Im now accepting proposals to how this gold could best benefit our nations government. Of course I will be working closely with the finance minister concerning this, but I feel ideas should be allowed to be proposed. I will be taking a small amount personally to reimburse the families of the few men who died in faulty blasts, and cave ins to the benefit of our great nation.

Tokugawa  I do not care for this change to Bill 3-2, as the Vice president investigating the president is a conflict of interest in the highest degree. Who has more to gain from the loss of the president than the vice president? I propose we stick to the original bill in which the merchant serves, as we are sworn enemies and no conflicts of mutual benefit will arise from that. Furthermore may we not be reconciled by the search for a ruthless and dishonorable killer?
