Trust me.
I pretend to be a ninja.
This movie was about ten times better than I thought it would be. I went because I'm a big Batman fanboy and I knew he was a main character and I thought that he'd deliver Batman lines, but I was pleasantly surprised that the movie was a complete blast beginning to end. My only question now is: when will Lego release their Batwing kit, because that's the coolest loving lego batwing I've ever seen.

Agreed.

Also, we all need to make sure that Will Arnett is the next animated Batman. Because he rules.

I noticed it in the first trailer, and I thought it was weird because nothing else seemed to be non-lego like it, but then the movie made it all make sense.

We did get a little preview of this year's Simpsons line with that little Milhouse cameo. I really wish this set wasn't so drat expensive. (Something like $220)

That is sitting on my coffee table -- a gift from a friend who has more Lego than one person probably should -- and it is incredibly detailed, even for Lego. It is expensive, yes, but it's priced as nearly all other sets are: approximately $0.10 per block.

Seen it twice already with my wife, and we've been talking about a third time. It's really visually stunning and I had to show her this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq_tqsasgoI before she would believe it's all CG. She also got me all the movie sets for my birthday and I couldn't have been happier :3: It's definitely going to be a first-day blue-ray buy, I can't wait to pause it at all those quick sight gags.

Is it really a Simpsons line, or just the one set?

They do one off sets pretty often now. There's also a Delorean.

It's supposedly a line, with blind bagged minifigures and everything.

The Delorean was from Lego's fan project thing (which is really awesome, and we might be getting the train from BTTF 3 next!).

The Simpsons is an actual licensed line.

The songwriters for Frozen worked on both The Book Of Mormon and Avenue Q, which contain songs about an African phrase meaning "gently caress You, God," baptism as a euphemism for sex, internet porn, and how much life sucks.

I saw this in the theater with some of my little cousins today and absolutely loved it, I don't remember the last time I laughed so much at a movie. I'm glad I saw it in the theater, because it was awesome hearing all the kids in the audience get excited and hearing all the adults laugh just as hard as the kids. The part with ghost Vitruvius had me dying, and it sounded like I wasn't the only adult to totally lose it there.

About the ending It was a little sappy, but in a good way. The part when Will Farrell opens the building and sees Lord Business is amazing. The look on his face just perfectly shows him realizing that he's the badguy to his son, he didn't need to say anything. I almost cried when he said "So, what would the construction worker say to Lord Business" but I kept it together 'cause I didn't want to look like a wimp in front of my cousins.

I've been playing it; it's not bad at all, about as fun as the other LEGO games. Just probably less interesting if you've seen the film; it looks like it follows the plot pretty closely since they use giant wads of footage from the movie all throughout.

Some teeth long for ripping, gleaming wet from black dog gums. So you keep your eyes closed at the end. You don't want to see such a mouth up close. before the bite, before its oblivion in the goring of your soft parts, the speckled lips will curl back in a whinny of excitement. You just know it.

You're lucky. We had a toddler (still bottle feeding but ambulatory, I suck at aging kids) who wouldn't shut up through most of the movie, either babbling or crying. And OF COURSE once someone complained, the parents somehow got him to shut up for the time ushers came in to observe.

If your kid is young and rambunctious enough that the Lego Movie can't keep him still, don't go to the theater.

Me and a buddy were pumped to go see it but we thought the movie was pretty okay but not particularly amazing. More jokes fell flat than made me laugh and it just felt like i was watching a lego episode of family guy a lot of the time. I liked the visual style but there was soo much motion blur it was hard to actually see the movie and the breakneck pace felt like it's purpose was to just lazily throw everything at the wall and hope you ignore all of the lame gags rather than 'we thought of so many things we had to cram them all into this film'

There were parts that were visually pretty stunning and parts that were pretty dang funny but as a whole i would not call it a visually stunning or funny movie it's just an agreeable, not terrible kid's movie with a little bit of subversive flavor. I'd watch it again maybe
