So it was apparently a fuse that blew during something tech ops was doing. One fuse took out the whole building. Doesn’t seem like a good design… In other news, it’s MCI freak out day because of the AFC championship game. It was a poo poo show a few years ago because there was zero planning and so now they have to panic. There were meetings for plans and all that, the ATM was there, but he apparently didn’t disseminate the information and they started losing their minds last night and wanted to start TMI’s yesterday. Kind of hoping I end up on the other cross aisle desk so I don’t have to deal with that.

We are no longer at an agreement for either. This is all from well outside the building. Seems like the goal is to be at an impasse everywhere. Our acting atm was certain he was going to get shitcanned on Monday because we apparently didn’t get the memo. He’s still here but it seems like he wishes he wasn’t. My assumption is that this will be one of the things they use to kill natca, but it’s not like they can’t just do that anyway so I’m not entirely sure what the complete angle is here. Just be prepared for things to get worse because there’s a lot of pressure coming from the top to shake poo poo up.

Welp, a local food truck offered to come make lunch for us, gratis. My facility ran them flat out of food before the evening shift even showed up at 1400. (It was my RDO, before you start leveling baseless accusations.)

We’ve pretty constantly had pizza for the whole facility for a couple weeks. Families of controllers have also bought food for the areas those folks work in too. No canned goods donations to the facility like we got when I was in Denver for the last one. Treating the place like it was a homeless shelter.
