Verviticus posted:He broke his collarbone, and then within three games re-injured it? Broke it January 26, and was out until March 22. He was called up by Ottawa on March 26th, and reinjured it on April 3. Dude couldn't catch a break last year, though he is making it up this year, he'll easily score 30, maybe 40. Got an outside shot at 50, though he'll have to go on a tear, he needs 23 in Bingo's last 26 games to hit 50.

Suspensions from the Adirondack/Portland brawl have been handed down: Adirondack- Kris Newbury suspended 4 games, Cal Heeter suspended 3 games, Zack FitzGerald suspended 2 games, Ben Holmstrom, and Tye McGinn both suspended for a game. Kyle Hagel suspended 2 games for Portland. So, for Adirondack's next game, Friday night against Albany, they are going to be without their #1 goaltender, 3 of their top 4 scorers, and their #1 enforcer.

ohhh it never occurred to me that he might have been pulled because it was the end of the game as opposed to pulled for a delayed penalty

After a long road set while their arena was occupied by ravenous monster trucks, the Saskatoon Blades finally return home for their final game against the hated Regina Pats. The Blades managed to take Calgary to OT on Friday in a ridiculous 6-5 barn-burner that ended 11 seconds into the extra frame, thanks to some dumb idiot on the Hitmen who scored a lucky goal that sucked. The next day, they took out their rage on the Red Deer Rebels, beating them 4-1 in a game I didn't get to listen to because the stupid phone app wasn't working properly. Tonight the Blades honour longtime play-by-play man Les Lazaruk, who called his 1500th game on Saturday. Les was also chosen fourth overall by the Winnipeg Jets in Hockles' SAS Be a Pro thread. Congratulations, Les!

ehehe, an away goal when they're announcing the home goal is literally the best thing. Go Royals! p.s. Blackhawks fans and Flames fans should both be interested in the Royals as they've got Travis Brown and Keegan Kanzig, and both of them are pretty good. And Joe Hicketts is intriguing for the 2014 draft (he's really good but short, especially for a defenseman). http://cjzn.streamon.fm/

Oh and Tyler Soy in 2015, he's pretty good too. and re: Kanzig, at first I thought he was just good at being 6'5, because he doesn't score much, but he's also among the leaders in relative +/- (which is a thing to look at in the CHL since the stats aren't available to calculate individual corsi/fenwick) (from @joshweissbock)

Found a good hockey name playing for Kingston. http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/roster/show/id/10404 Slater Doggett. This is a name that GMs should be fighting for over in the 7th round.

Kingston - Niagara has been a real pleasure to watch, especially for names (they are tied at 4 and going to OT now if you want to join). One of my favourite parts was where Niagara is running out Aaron Hayden, Hayden McCool, and Aleksandar Mikulovich at the same time.

So, I ended up going to the Neon jersey LEM game. I talked to the PR lady before the game about how much the auctions go for, and she said depending on the player, between $375 and $2,000. Here is my crappy iPhone picture of the full getup.

They usually only open the lower bowl for LEM games, but tonight the upper portion wasn't curtained off, but nobody sat up there. The lower bowl did end up filling mostly up, and the attendance was somehow over 11k. an actual pic:

I love how in the WHL, Saskatchewan is considered "east". Like, I know it's the Eastern Conference, but they don't refer to it in only that context.

The Las Vegas Wranglers lost their lease in their arena, so they'll be playing every game on the roof of one of the casinos. I don't have the link since I'm on my phone but it was on puck daddy. Now I want to see the Eagles play the Wranglers in a road trip real bad.
