A good chunk of this episode has been Liz/Philip pillow talk and Liz clearly showing she wants to be pounded by "Clark" because he's a freak, so either do it or show us more to do with the plot.

Well, I just watched that scene with my dad. Good times. ![]() E- "Hey, how can we follow up a dark scene that amounts to rape in a way?" Somebody help me here since I've actually gotten a bit lost: What's new Russian guy's obsession with Nina? He took an interest in her, she rejected him, he found out about her relationship with Stan and both its political and emotional connections, so he's using her as collateral with Stan. Is he doing the polygraph for Mother Russia, just to be a dick, or both/neither?JohnSherman posted:The Americans definitely seems like a prestige series to FX, so an early renewal isn't surprising. Hopefully ratings stay decent. I wish they wouldn't announce new seasons until the previous season ends and/or it's obvious the series is going to continue. I know that may not be how it works in the industry, but the last couple episodes of last season would've been more intense had we not been sure one or both of the main characters were going to survive.

Is the "fake sub plans" story real? Because holy poo poo if it is. It's a twisted mix of ![]() E- Reagan's a monster because his people made fake sub plans your government wanted to steal to bolster their own Navy? Is that what Elizabeth was getting at? So the kid knew the whole time his parents were spies and is now getting sent abroad (assuming Reporter doesn't get to him first). I can't even imagine what that would be like. Unlike the black guy last season who was offered a new life in Mother Russia, who was on his own, the teenager is just that...a kid.

Well hot drat, that's a strange dream rolling around in Stan's head. Is that the first time we've seen two people going at it with nothing on on FX? They try to outdo themselves every week and I can't remember if they've gone that far. e- Hey, Paige and Henry! Here's your new friend, Jared. SCARYJEINFELD posted:I'm going to miss Larrick, he was a piece of poo poo but in a different story he would be hero (or atleast anti-hero) instead of the big bad. If this had been a show about American spies in Russia (as I originally thought the show was going to be when I first heard about it), he'd have been an epic hero. Zythrst posted:Losing an accent isn't hard if you work at it long enough. I took classes with a girl who lived in Albania until she was 10. No accent, perfect English, though she mentioned the accent comes back if she's angry (which I've heard is a typical thing in language, I guess). Fetus Tree posted:Paige is roll-eyeingly boring imo. The only good she has served this season has been making me laugh at phil/liz's disgust for religion I get a laugh out of Liz's hypocrisy. "Don't you DARE go and believe in a power higher than yourself. It's STUPID to believe that there's something more powerful than you to which you must devote your life for their Cause". Paige is currently at "bitchy teen" level, but she's only seen at times in the show. If she's going to be central in episodes next year, which I could see happening, I hope they don't turn her up to Super Bitch, at which point she's insufferable. (Think Becca in Californication if you want to know what I mean by Super Bitch. "Please, just go away and don't ever come back" bad.)
