At least we know a concrete date. Raiders of the Lost Ark came out in early June 1981. I was a month old. :unsmith:

Only reason I looked it up is I couldn't remember when Brezhnev died and I thought they'd made a goof with the Space Shuttle comment.

I'm pretty sure the date the episode was set was January 25, 1982 based on the fact that Arkady said it was. ;)

Great episode was weird I felt bad for Philip as it was just a rough day for him and also yea he was doing horrible things but it is his job.

Also why did Eliz need that file on that army guy. Kind of forgotten that story line? Is it to do with the info they murdered family were onto?

Enjoying Oleg as competent character rather than a gently caress up. Though I think he playing with fire and him or Beeman is getting burnt.

The other couple who were killed were blackmailing him or they'd out his homosexuality. Claudia thought this made him the top suspect in the murders, because he had motive and means to carry it out.

Larrick is a special forces trainer for the Contra's, he was being blackmailed by the couple who got killed and thus was a suspect for the murder. The Jennings approached him as counter intell in order to discover if he was the killer. They decided they didn't think he was the killer, so they resumed the blackmail as KGB, since its not like counter intell agents would want to infiltrate a contra training camp.

Fighter jet pilot is like a terminator. They have built him up as so capable its kinda be hard to think that while he probably aint going to kill any of the main characters he is gonna cause some terrible pain for them. Like letting their daughter know who they are before he dies.

Fighter Jet pilot, what?

What I'm not looking forward to is the next season more or less being all about Paige. It was annoying enough *this* season, and that was with it being a side-arc.

I don't dislike Paige and I think her doign spy poo poo would be facinating. Although if you think about it Henry actually has better tradecraft considering the whole Intellevision incident.

I honestly don't mind Paige that much, at least as far as kid actors go. I am kind of worried about the centre becoming the enemy, because in general this show has been pretty nuanced and turning the Soviet side of things into literal mustache twirling villains who are trying to brainwash kids would be really boring.

Overall great season, though. My only real complaint is that the show seems to be going in the kind of annoying direction that a lot of espionage themed shows and films go in where literally every character ends up being a spy or somebody's agent. It's almost as bad as the double and triple agent poo poo. The massive web of illegals (all of whom speak perfect, unaccented english) is starting to seem pretty silly too.

Losing an accent isn't hard if you work at it long enough.
