The split premier thing was a great idea. instead of 30 seconds of runway look we got the full time spent on each one, and the episode doesn't have to be an hour and a half long to do it.

I shamelessly love Adore. I don't know what it is about her, but I cannot get mad even when she's being a brat. Ben is clearly going to go far, at least top 5 possibly top 3. Kelly didn't really impress me, Vivacious is amazing and the rest of them kinda flew under the radar for me.

Did anyone else notice Michelle Visage glaring at Santino with nearly every comment he made? :allears:

Okay but what the gently caress can you do with a bag of cooked spaghetti that's been sitting in a plastic bag for probably at least half a day, and have it remain any good quality in studio lighting (there's a reason why food in commercials isn't real food)
I've heard 3 or 4 people say that the passing up the Sketti was a mistake, but nobody's given me a solid reason why.

Meanwhile I'm sitting here waiting for them to put it up on their mess of a site because my cable provider doesn't have Logo and I don't have an iDevice.
I could figure out who got eliminated if I really wanted to, since Pandora Boxx's recap of the episode AND Michelle's interview with the eliminated queen are both up... and yet the episode remains absent.
I really question Logo's priorities.

Magnolia's reasons for being on the show are sound... until she says she's just doing it to feed her ego. Going on Drag Race purely for exposure is actually a great move, so long as you play the game.
All in all I'm glad she went home, and I'm delighted Dareienne stayed, I just hope she goes for more looks than the weird pouch thing she did. So many big queens have done that before.

The more screentime Gia gets the more I want her to leave. She thinks she can throw shade but it's more like she limply tosses a parasol at you and expects you to humor her and open it.

The more Gia talked the more I wanted her off. And then when she got told to sashay away and her farewell was less "i'm sad but this was great" and more of a "whaaa i don't like milk make her leave insteaaaaaaaaad :qq:" I'm glad I'll never have to listen to her talk through her nose for the rest of the main season.

I didn't understand Michelle's comment about "old ladies is Ben's thing." She did them twice, and they were different old lady characters, one being the super rich person from the early 1900s and the other being a lunatic in a haunted house. Yeah they're both old women but they're different as hell.

That Snatch game though. That was basically everything I wanted out of a Snatch game. On point characters, quick wits and only a couple stinkers. My only wish is that they'd focused on Darienne more, it seems like she was in character, and amusingly so, the entire time, but the focus was more on Gia, Laganga, Adore and Bianca.

Looking back at past seasons, I had thought that the winner of the snatch game had always gone on to be the winner of the entire season, since Jinkx won, and Chad won All Stars. Turns out I was wrong about Raja winning, and Tyra didn't even get high marks.

That said, doing bad in the Snatch Game is an indicator of who's getting eliminated, simply because Ru looks for someone quick and funny as a winner.

Have any of the other seasons had it so that they're wearing the same clothes in all the talking head segments in every episode? I know season 4 didn't because I spotted a moment where Jiggly's outfit changed twice in the middle of a statement, cutting between the talking head and the workroom to make it seem like it wasn't doing that.
You think they did all the talking heads on the same day this time? And if it's possible to spoil yourself on who goes home when based on workroom outfit? I know the moment Ben or Courtney walks in the workroom wearing their talking head outfit I'm going to instantly see it.

Ben is coming off too good in the Ben vs. Darienne "feud" to not make top 3. Bianca for the win (duh) followed by Adore then Ben.

It's also pretty unlikely because non elimnations are always done for ~story purposes~. It's always someone who's scripted to get really drat far, and yes I count Willam's disqualification as a non elimination. Season 3 had Yara get to the top 4, season 4 had Sharon and Phi-Phi, 5 was Roxxxy, and now with 6 we have Ben. Ben's getting to top 3, there's no reason he'd be kept on otherwise.

Editing the "she-mail" thing is less about that being offensive by itself and more about the fact that removing the segment that used it to refer to "women who aren't really women" (which is what most people got upset about) and not editing that as well would be hypocritical.

Bina posted:

Either Way, they just have to change it to Ru-Mail, or something else that won't get Ru harassed for trying to make people laugh.

Carmen Carrera gave the suggestion of "Fe-mail" which keeps the intended pun without being derived from a slur. May be less funny but it will appease the people who are pissed about it.

One thing I will say in season 4's defense: None of the big queens wore the same thing over and over like in seasons 3, 4 and 5. (And now Darienne in 6, how in the hell hasn't she been read for that yet)

Was I the only one who cringed at Darienne's couple's "vows"? The catchphrase-laden stuff was funny, yeah, but I was uncomfortably reminded of Naruto fans for some reason. Drag Race weeaboos. (Sheaboos?)

Ben can't sew, but he makes good dresses anyway. I'm just curious how hot glue and desperation is going to hold up in a 3 looks challenge. Adore and Courtney are going to be bottom 2 next week entirely because of their inability to sew, and I have a feeling Adore's the one going home :sigh:

If there was ever any chance of Darienne winning, that has gone right out the window. (since part of it is now connecting with the fans) Unbelievable.

I'd honestly be fine with any of them winning, unlike Seasons 4 and 5 where I was "Team Not PhiPhi" and "Team Not Roxxxy." With the professional teams that come with the crown Adore would be fantastic in a really short time, Bianca is already there, and Courtney is amazing outside of Drag Race. She got really boring edits, but from everything I've seen that isn't in Drag Race, she's pretty great. The backhanded semi-compliments got real old real fast, I'll admit.
If I had to pick though, I would say Adore, if only because of how drat little Bianca needs anything from the crown at this point.

Where do your organs even go in something that tight? That cannot be healthy to wear for as long as they do. If I'm remembering right they're in drag for upwards of 6 hours on mainstage days? Between getting ready, mainstage, mainstage again (they do two runway walks), Untucked, lip sync, and the post-lipsync de-dragging phase that's got to be a longass time for you to be in a corset that tight.
