Zelensky's Zealots
My girlfriend and I just got our picture taken with Bianca, Darien and Pandora. My first drag show ever. Pretty cool Friday night.

I'm just catching up on earlier seasons, currently on Season 3. Stacey Layne Mathews is a woman for real, correct?

I'm also in the middle of Season 3, just watched the Patriotic PSA episode. When it aired did anyone call Shangela on her bullshit of "my mom fought in Iraq and Bosnia"? It might just be semantics but there were no female combatants for those two wars (Dessert Storm). She may have served there but it seemed like she was milking the angle is all.

Also I hate all these bitches.

Desert Storm. Not Dessert Storm. Even if there were no "official" female combatants, women still risked their lives in both of those wars, and women died from enemy actions and were kept as POWs. Even if they weren't direct infantry, it is common to say that you "fought" in a war if you were deployed in it.

ssssssory I added an s there.

I feel differently. Having served in the military for a few years, there is a definite difference between "serving in" and "fighting in" a war. My comment was more about Shangela playing that card during that episode.

And yeah, I know women died during those conflicts.

I was deployed to Iraq in 2003, I am a woman. I say I fought in OIF. I sat in the bunkers with mortars falling all over us just like the guys did. I drove through Fallujah just like the guys did. Do you automatically question a guy when he says he fought in a war too?

Sometimes, yes. I'm very involved with Vets and I am working with a guy right now who is claiming "Combat Stress" and he never deployed overseas so I question that, yes.

OIF, GWoT are different than DeSert Storm and Bosnia where the role of women in combat was MUCH less back then. I know a woman who was in a convoy that got hit and she had to be resuscitated and spent the better part of a year in Walter Reed recovering - and still has both physical and mental issues.

My original post was not about "DURR WOMINS DON'T FIGHT" and was more about Shangela being Shangela and possibly milking poo poo to "fit in" with the theme and the other girls who had ties to the military.

I (sadly) have a long off-topic story about how some idiot male vets actually believe that no women were ever harmed during any combat or combat-like actions. As a mental health counselor I have heard some horrific stories from female vets and I hate that you have to go through that.

Anyway gently caress Shangela. I'm on season 4 now and none of these bitches outside Latrice are worth a poo poo either. I'm kinda glad I started with season 6 because I got spoiled with Bianca.

I watched untucked and still don't like Willam. HOWEVER, the "your tone is very pointed right now" line does still kill me.

My girlfriend got me into this show and that line defused a minor fight we were having a while ago. So I guess thanks for that Willam :)

The untucked episode with the dogs where they captioned one of the dogs saying that was brilliant.

Girlfriend says she saw last week that this year's RPDR has been delayed until March because Visage is doing Big Brother.

No confirmation though she says she told me this when she read it. She might have, I'm old and don't brain good some days.
