It's just starting here on the west coast. I'm so ready for this I'm sweating glitter gel. It's going to be damned hard for this season's queens to match up with last year's. Big heels to fill.

What's the deal? The guide is confusing me. I saw about 42 minutes from the premiere preview, but RPDR is slotted for 90 minutes, followed by ten minutes of ???, followed by a normal length RPDR, and then Untucked. What?

Yeah, it was like that on mine too, for some reason. The 90 minute thing is the new episode and Untucked, lumped together for some reason, and the random 10 minutes is the intro of the next episode, featuring the other seven queens arriving and interacting (amazingly).

I have very high hopes for Bianca and Darienne. And still crushin on Milk. :kimchi: So dreamy.

Thanks! I love that I got 45 minutes of delicious new drag goodness even after watching the preview last week.

And I'm extraordinarily pleased with how that LSFYL turned out :neckbeard:

I wish they'd had a two hour special instead of splitting it. Most of these queens are middle of the road. Still enjoyable though!

Whenever Ru started saying 'G-g-g-Gia!' All I could think of was Veronica Mars' Gia.

Meanwhile trying to watch this in Australia is so difficult. Goddamn geoblocks.

They have weird licensing stateside, too. I got addicted over Netflix, and when I went back to rewatch...gone :( And they weren't on the Logo site, either (and the ones that were were so broken they were unwatchable).

Milk's avant-garde style is incredible, and I'm so, so happy that the judges totally get it.

I don't drink dairy, but I'll make an exception for a tall glass of Milk :allears:

Also, the immediate rapport between her and Courtney was absolutely adorable. Plus, they both have wonderfully positive attitudes so I don't think we're at risk of Heathers or Rolaskatox or anything similarly retarded.

Nothing could make me turn on Raja/Manilla harder than the whole Heathers thing. If I rewatch season 3, I usually cut out when that starts happening, because it's such a nasty, gross bummer.

I love Manila so much that it didn't quite bother me, but that's just personal bias. I try not to take the shade too seriously, especially when Ru calls drag race "our tacky little show."

That said, I love Alaska for at least trying to kill Rolaskatox. It's pointless drama when there's naturally already enough shade to cool off all of southern California.

Courtney's in deep poo poo if she doesn't pull out a stunning look really soon. She knew it in the workroom, and she knew it when she got that critique. I'm hoping she can though, because she's marvelous to look at and who doesn't love an Aussie accent?

Snatch: I'm really looking forward to Judge Judy and Julia Child :allears:

For all the shade Trinity got for being "over it" this week, that lip sync was loving fabulous. She's not one of my top contenders, but I hope she continues to rock it.

John Waters is always a lot of fun. :allears: I did notice something that has inspired some misgivings about Ru, and the episode with the Pit Crew confirmed it for me: Ru seems quite disingenuous. It's honestly turned me off of her a bit. Maybe I should check out another couple episodes of the series, but she didn't seem all too sincere, which is kind of the point of a series like that.

You think? To me it just seemed like Ru being Ru. Since it's a World of Wonder-produced video thingy, I also assume he's still playing his character to an extent.

If you want to hear Ru being honest and deep and heartfelt, check out the podcast/interview he did on Aisha Tyler's show.

I had made a bunch in the previous seasons but they seemed to get overlooked. Considering how time-consuming they were to make, I finally just stopped bothering. If you have any requests though, I could whip a few up.

Well I think she has a pretty face. I like how she doesn't just rely on being fishy and understated like Courtney, but she also doesn't paint really harsh lines on her face. As much as I like Ben and Bianca, I'm not really a fan of their makeup.

But really her face is the only thing I like about her.

I could have said the same about liking Darienne's face, but then she made the mistake of opening her mouth this week.

In that Untucked... Wow. Just... Wow. Laganja really needs to go see a specialist, she even said that Alyssa told her her forte wasn't drag.

To be fair, I thought it was just that Alyssa thought Laganja was a good dancer and that she should focus on that rather than drag. But, whatever. I think it was TLo who said Laganja reeks of suburban white privilege, and that was pretty spot on. Shade is okay, but whiny is obnoxious.

Also, yeah. I'm totally over Courtney but Darienne needs to :frogout: first.

I see Latrice amongst others on the list for All Stars 2, there's no way they would bring someone back a third time is there? God I need more Latrice.

I hope so, except I voted Manila, whose chances were ruined by Latrice's sync last time :colbert:

Also, leaving Darienne in the running for another week or two just gives her that much more time to run herself (and her drag career) under the bus with her vile bitchiness.

(Or else you could just catch her at Mickey's in WeHo, which is always a last-minute fiasco with terrible parking, and you have to be on the list. Ugh.)

And the worst part is, I absolutely will not be able to flirt my way onto that drat list. I'm actually convenient to Metro trains(!!!), so I get to avoid parking when going anywhere interesting. That said, I've only really hit up WeHo during the day.

But. Uh.

So Raven hosts a motherfucking ongoing drag competition every Friday? Color me sold.

Manila literally did a race-y caricature and WON the challenge because of it. I think that Bianca's stand up really isn't much different to be honest.

Manila's Filipino heritage, plus her drag name, kind of put her in the clear for that. Besides, Imelda Marcos was a legitimately wacky figure.
