It is amazing how much better Cole is on Main Event. Also, the Blue Thunder Bomb needs the upgrade to finisher. Sami makes it looks so good.

I have no problem with Arquette winning the title either, honestly. As long as he immediately loses it the next night and that's that. It's a publicity stunt, and you play it off as this guy who has no loving business being champion lucking into it and then take it off him as soon as possible. But this being Russo that is of course not what they did at all.

I had major problems with the Arquette situation back in the day. Reading the championship spoiler was the first time I ever cursed out loud at something I read on the Internet. And of course, it didn't help that the movie was a steaming pile of poo poo. Online Onslaught posted a (100% correct) leaked synopsis of the plot and they were on the fence about whether it was a practical joke.

Either he should have been allowed to give up the title, which would have gotten them the same pop in mainstream coverage Russo was so desperate for, or he should have been forced to defend it the next night and just gotten completely destroyed by some heel, which also would have gotten the same pop while also showing that he had no place in that ring or with that title. It's one of those ideas that I can see working if you did it the exact right way, but the way they did it was the opposite of the exact right way.
