It makes a bit more sense to have those mid game. Actually if I had control of the script I wouldn't know where to put them, I think I'd put them in a second playthrough but that seems slightly overwrought.

You can guess by his personality thing in his screen: Covetous at max rank. The man wants certain things in this world, the Dragon Gem is one of them, and will stop at nothing to remove all between him and his goal, no Nobleman, no warring Kingdom nor Valkyrie or King of all gods would deter him. Gandar is great and has the best voice actor in this game bar the excellent Maddie Blaustein. And yeah, he is the strongest Sorceror in the VP universe, bar for some that have meddled in some certain forbidden arts.
