current desktop debian status

they finally rebranded icedove back to thunderbird but somehow managed to gently caress up the migration script that, as far as i can tell, just symlinks ~/.thunderbird to ~/.icedove

is it worth giving fedora a go on my laptop? theres nothing glaringly wrong with debian atm and the closest thing ive used before is probably rhel 3 as a teenager

Remember when the maintainer of the debian chromium package suddenly decided to disable all browser extensions with no way to re-enable them through the ui

edit:

code:
pskill()
{
    local pid=$(ps ax | grep -i $1 | grep -v grep | awk '{print $1}')

    echo -n "killing $1..."
    kill -9 $pid
    echo "slaughtered"
}

nice dumb rear end code that cant be used to kill grep, and will almost certainly kill the wrong thing if you use it to try to kill `sl`

windows on kvm with the spice drivers and guest tools is fine ime. Don't know why you'd use some pos linux rdp client instead of that
