the problem with digging too deep on this guy is that it becomes because you realize that, mixed in with funny dunning-kruger arrogance, he's almost certainly got untreated mental health problems of the kind which keep him from seeking effective help

the sad thing is, as bad as autotools are the alternatives are all worse. at least autotools can be used to automatically build software for packaging without an inordinate amount of wailing and gnashing of teeth.
