So I've been noticing there've been a lot more high effort LPs lately on the sub-forum. So hey, why not start this thread again? What's a 2007-style LP like and how do I make one? A 2007-style LP is just a more casual LP that is supposed to entertain rather than inform. So just blab about poo poo, maybe sometimes about the game, maybe sometimes just jokes, whatever. Don't edit too much (unless its unbearable otherwise) and just go hogwild. Can I post my LP in here? I'm not sure if it's good enough  Rules Don't take LP seriously. Seriously, don't post paragraphs upon paragraphs about the LP climate. If you really want to argue about whatever you think about 2007-style LPs take it to the Blasting Zone. It kinda seems like you just made a lovely LP video and pretended that was what you meant to do the whole time Editing is a good thing. Not blathering about whatever dumbass thing is currently in your head is a good thing. 2007 was a loving awful year

As a filthy casual LP'er myself, I approve  . I like both kinds of LP's, actually, high and low effort.This is the kind of LP I like to just let jam in the corner of my monitor while I sketch and draw on GIMP. Kind of like a virtual hang out for neckbeards too scared for public settings like myself.

This is just a regular bad LP. At least do a full on 2007 bad LP where you spend the first 10 minutes of your video standing completely still, rebinding your keys, namedropping your circlejerk buddies and whining about how much you hate the guy who tried to LP your game before you did.

What is the point of this thread, really? There is no rule on the forum about how much effort you need to put into your LP (I guess this is obvious because it's not like this thread could circumvent that rule). In fact, you can post almost whatever you loving want, and if people like it, they will watch it. There's nothing stopping you from posting poo poo nobody likes either, actually! You probably should have sent your video to the TSF and Sandcastle before you posted it in the thread so that people could poo poo on your idea and ban you because you didn't use Sony Vegas to have a specialized intro to every video and you didn't let the entire forum comment on exactly what your audio balance should be. e: also you should probably add a facecam it's pretty much required for SA LPs and by not having one you are basically ignoring what the SA-LP (Something Awful Forums Let's Play) community wants so gently caress you ee: where's gamingo he should be all over this poo poo

The previous thread also restricted entry to people who were around in 2007 and were doing new LPs related to games they'd already played, so I expect that would bring in an even smaller crowd now.

I'm assuming here that Proteus (and possibly LordMune) went around asking before making the thread if they want to get something going. I meant as in asking people doing videos now that were aware of 2007 output if they wanted to add something to the thread before the thread was a thing.
